Just purchased this, having a few issues:

1) Can not get the slider to show anything. http://www.storytellerstories.com I created a category called Home and added the post Our boat to the home category, told the headline category to display home and nothing shows up!

2) If I choose to show ALL Categories for the Featured 1, 2, 3 etc, and show 4 posts, blog posts show up on the left on the home page. If I choose a particular category for Featured Category 1, etc, then only the category name shows up, not the blog posts underneath – you can see that now.

3) I have corrected the “Looking Something” which is incorrect English and changed it to “search” on most pages but in which page in editor do I do that for blog posts?

4) If we use an image for the logo, what are the size requirements?

5) When writing a page, carriage returns are ignored unless I place
in the html..is there a way to get paragraph breaks on pages? Sometimes this seems to be happening on posts also after ordered lists…

6) On the home page, can I control that sidebar on the right? I don’t want so much stuff there.

7) Finally, when a post is small but the image is tall, is there a way to get the background to stretch around the photo? It looks terrible – the see the my dog post

I really like your template, but I’m having a hard time trying to get it to work properly, I don’t understand what is wrong.

I installed XAMPP and I’m testing locally.

I did everything in this sequence: Install WordPress (3.0.1), fix the jquery.functions.js, install the theme, install Nextgengallery (1.6.2) and WP-Table Reloaded (1.8) and activate them, import the 2 example tables, but when I load the theme, it does not appear as in the demo, instead of the slideshow I see 3 separate images, if I click “Models” it says “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in …\wp-content\themes\carsdealer\page_models_list.php on line 68” but if I click “Models” > “Car model” it loads normally.

I don’t know what you did, but you fixed it!! WOW !! Thanks man!!

BTW my permalinks are set to / postname /. Is that Ok?

But,… can I get the same resizing for the image in the portfolio? I edited Portfolio.php, an I can add a variety of sizes, but is there a way to just automate a proportional resize just like the lightbox image in the blog post does?

Thanks again for a great theme. An issue:

Under the featured scroller section I have a link to a portfolio page (Coastal Bend). That works fine, but when I click on one of the images in the portfolio, I only get a truncated version, not the full version of the image.

When I click on the read more to get to the blog entry, I used the styled image shortcut, but clicking on it does nothing, opens no lightbox. I tried the plain image also, but again, no luck.

I’ve turned off almost all my plugins, chmod 777 the image folder, TimThumb, and a new cache folder I created, still no luck.

Any thoughts?

Hello I am looking to purchase this theme. I am new to wordpress and like everything as easy as can be. For the main picture and text. Is that all easy to change within the admin or is it code that will have to be changed? Also on the bottom slider part, are the titles and pictures easy to change as well? I don’t understand these instructions…sorry I am not a web developer. I thought this would be easier. Please clarify:

- if want the project to be on the homepage main banner, add “portfolio” custom field with value “1”, then add “project_type” custom field. Name it “webdesigning” or something, then add ‘project_image” custom field with the absolute path to project image to be displayed on the homepage main abnner. This Image dimension as to be 430px ? 218px. Also, remember text display on home from excerpt. Read More button come automatically with its link so no need to worry about it.

I don’t see the lightbox for my photos. My browser opens the photos in a new page … that’s not the meaning of the template. I do work on a mac, but I have three browsers: safari, firefox 3 and google chrome tried, and they all open the photos on a new page. My sister has a windows laptop and she sees it also with opening the photos on a new page.

So I don’t know what it is.

If you can email me I can send you images of the screen with all three browsers … that’s because in google chrome and firefox not all my images show up, and safari all images show up on the homepage … but all three browsers open the images in a new page, and not in the lightbox.

bought this theme and I’m pretty happy with the results, as I’m trying to showcase my photography work. I have three categories on my first page. How do I manage to post pics in each category without them showing on my main page (or my second)?

as in, some of the pics will be on display on the first/second page of the website, but others I want hidden until one goes into a category to see what’s there.

One thing I am wondering if you can tell me how to do is make other categories appear under the main logo (currently it only says “portfolio”). Yours has a few different areas to click on (close-up, urban, etc.) that allows the viewer to narrow what they are seeing.

First, where do I go to add those extra titles and
Second, how do I get my portfolio pages to go to the appropriate title when clicked?
